Banana Republic Store Opening Party
After what seemed like FOREVER the Banana Republic Soho Store finally re-opened its flagship store after a major renovation this past Wednesday (November 11). So naturally, I had to check out the new digs and party which was done in conjunction with ServiceNation organization. Upon, arriving at the store I was immediately greeted with a glass of wine. I was already pleased but walking around the store was even more impressive, the place was bright, Christmas decorations are already up and for now it feels you are going to a cool friends great house. I must tell you the store is Ginarmous and down right fabulous. The store’s 18,000 square feet is well suited for any self respecting shopaholic with tons as they are tons of clothes sprinkled throughout the sexy spot.
The store is pretty damn snappy, it has mosaic-tiled floors, cool cast-iron columns, fabulous black&white photos of the ‘hood taken by Volker Seding, who is part of the store rotating artist display. The fun decour makes the shopping experience that much more pleasent. I think even men will enjoy it and they have an entire floor devoted to men’s clothing. Did you know Banana made so much men clothing? I kid but seriously the men’s section is split into sections that present many facets of man life.
Anyways, at the store opening Mary-Louise Parker was on hand to celebrate the opening. She is absolutely amazing, and a fabulous mother of too to son William and daughter Ash. I spied her checking out the clothes as she waited for her boyfriend and musician to Charlie Mars to perform. Charlie Mars, by performed two songs one was an original and we helped him sing along to that original song with his help of course. The crowd.. ok I, enjoyed it but I do love me a sing along.
We are thrilled that Banana flagship store is now opening for business.
