Talk About Fancy Patron Debuts Limited-Edition Lalique Bottle
For members of the elite 1% with a love for tequila, Patrón Tequila has a gift available for a rarefied few willing to spend $7,500. For the first time ever, the spirit giant teamed up with Lalique, a luxury crystal maker, to create a special and limited-edition bottle housing extra añejo. Limited to just 500 bottles worldwide, the Patrón En Lalique Serie 1, features hand-crafted crystal “inspired by the weber blue agave plant” with an amber stopper representing the “piña,” the heart of the plant.
The bottle doesn’t just have regular tequila, in fact its bears the rarest and oldest tequila from the Hacienda Patron distillery located in the hills of Jalisco, Mexico. For this edition, Francisco Alcaraz, crafted a unique blend using some of the oldest available tequilas, aged for four years in a combination of new American oak barrels, as well as new and old French oak to create “a complex notes of sweet caramel, honey, vanilla, dried fruits and nuts.”
Each bottle is individually numbered (naturally) and contains a leather bound book along with video documenting the collaboration.
