About Last Night: Art Lovers Gather at the Opening of Deep Space
Our Friday nights are often spent lackadaisically in front of the tube. However, last night we managed to summon enough energy to trek to the Meatpacking District. While down there, we joined a rarefied group of artist types for the opening of the Deep Space exhibition.
Presented by the Joseph Nahmad Contemporary, the exhibition features street art inspired works created by artists—Matta, Rammellzee, Futura, and Phase 2. The paintings which were scattered throughout the space and curated by Nemo Librizzi and Joseph Nahmad, run the gamut from graffiti to Jackson Pollock inspired pieces.
Love street art and are rankled you missed the exhibit? Fret not! The exhibition is open through December 12. While you pencil the date for the art outing, take a gander through the images from last night. Do you see anything you like?
