Lands’ End Spring 2011
There’s something refreshingly upbeat about Lands’ End.
From the elegant selection of colors, to the classic silhouettes, I always know what to look forward to because I know I won’t be disappointed. The spring 2011 collection, from the preppy retailer, is exactly what I’ve come to expect – classic, beautiful, and well-crafted.
The Lands’ End Spring 2011 Collection, focuses on clothes that are very traditional but have a bit of a “modern twist.” That’s not say the selection of clothes are stagnant because they are not and there is design growth. For instance, I am loving the updates on some of the “traditional pieces,” such as the trench-coats, blazers, and dresses. Of particular interest is the scoop neck crotchet inspired patterned dress that can work well from season-to-season and still look timeless. Just like Lands’ End.
The canvas collection, which is targeted to a younger Lands’ End clientele (early 30’s), left me awe-struck and surprised. The fairly new (only in market for a year) Canvas Lands’ End collection features washed oxford-cloth skirts, a stronger selection of modern silhouettes, bold knitwear pieces (as in Lemon yellow), and hipper selection of fabrics and patterns (hello stripes).
