YSL Parisienne Masquerade Launch Party Recap and Pictures
The people over at Yves Saint Laurent went all out for the launch of their new of their women’s fragrance “YSL Parisienne.” The ads for the perfume features the very fashion forward and fabulous Kate Moss as the face. A diverse and fun mix of fashionistas, editors, writers, publicist, socialites and me were invited to a lavish masquerade ball to celebrate the new perfume and have a great time just. The party was the talk of the town. Its easy to see why the invitation read, “You and your guest are invited to Parisienne Masquerade to celebrate the launch of the new fragrance for women. ‘Stylish Attire and Mask Required.'”
The party held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk, st in LES), was the perfect place, its cavernous yet inviting and while sttill fun. And, an amazing venue fitting for the the night’s fabulous crowd and music.
Upon entering the place we were greeted with hot men offering us a selection a masks to choose from in case we forgot ours! I didn’t forget mine just wasn’t cool. So, I choose one and I tossed mine. Naturally, there was no surprised when I spotted all attendees clad in their best party attire and masquerade masks. The place was decorated to match the tone and color of the perfume. For instance, there was a very soft blush pink backlighting with Halloween inspired lighting fixtures, vases of roses spread throughout the venue along with bottles of the perfume. And, if this wasn’t enough the perfume’s very racy ad campaign(featuring Kate Mosss) where shown in the Plasma TV that I almost positive were brought in for the occution.
The DJ Alexandra Richards and The Misshapes got the crowd dancing so much so that VIP was surprisingly empty, it seems as if everyone was dancing and not ready for the party but at 12:04 the music came to an end -mid song at that and like Cinderella it was time to go.
