#NYFW: Nanette Lepore SS 2016 Backstage Recap
Was Fashion Week so long ago? At Nanette Lepore Spring 2016, though the hair looked perfectly effortless paired with the youthful, flirty, and in some cases feisty looks of spring, we found ourselves loving the idea of it for fall in New York too.
Now that fall is upon us, let’s take it for a spin! The windswept, boho-inspired style was created by master stylist Antonio Prieto for John Masters Organics.
“The look this season has a fun ‘60s/’70s vibe with undone, loose waves to complement Nanette’s fun, bohemian style,” Prieto said. “We kept the hair down with a low side part and pinned the sides behind the ears to give it an effortless, natural-looking appearance. The texture is not about being coiffed or perfect, but more about a carefree beauty that is representative of the self-confident Nanette Lepore woman.”
Step 1: Beginning with dry hair, spritz the roots with John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment & Volumizer to give strands some lift.
Step 2: Next, spritz the hair in sections with John Masters Organics Sea Mist Sea Salt Spray with Lavender to add texture and boost volume.
Step 3: Flip the head upside down and blast hair with a blow dryer for two minutes to create additional volume. Flip the head right-side up and blow dry for another two minutes.
Step 4: Create loose waves with a curling iron by wrapping the hair around the barrel in two-inch sections.
Step 5: Create a deep side part and pin back the hair behind the ears on both sides.
Step 6: Finish the ends by spritzing them with John Masters Organics Green Tea & Calendula Leave-in Conditioning Mist that helps to soften and hydrate the hair.
