Binetti Spring/Summer 2010
I was on the fence as to whether I should attend the Binetti show as it was so out of the way for me and the weather was just plain awful. And, I am on of those girls that doesn’t do rain– hey blame it on my hair its the culprit. After, some prodding from a friend, I decided to go and I am glad that I did. This collection was all sorts of fun, class, dare a say it, elegant? It was the design by David Binetti who is seriously under the radar. David, who used to designed for Jill Stuart, put on a great collection that was cohesive and practical while still being pretty. In fact this collection was one of my favorites this season.
I was blown by the fun and exciting use of prints and soft fabrics in this collection. The styling was perfect and every piece seem to fall into place with the look. He included pieces with jeweled necklines, micro-printed embellished chiffon tunics and crystal kaftans. Additionally, he missed up with by adding well tailored suites, and jackets. I particularly loved the black jacket with brown, white and symmetry. It seems very forward and cool. The craftsmanship on that jacket is just superb.
I just don’t have anything bad to say. I just adored the collection it was fun, pretty and unique. I am actually looking forward to when the collection hits the stores. I want a couple of pieces.
