#NYFW: SAUNDER Spring 2014
“I was really inspired by the great dig,” Emily Saunders told us during her presentation for the SAUNDER collection. “Every since I can remember, I’ve always been interested with that era and recently its been really on my mind so I decided to design with that in mind.” And that she did. The theme permeated throughout the presentation which included a makeshift archaeological station with accompanying props and a jazz band. The models naturally wore pieces that fit the theme: flirty dresses, shin-length shifts, silk pants with silhouettes reminiscing of the 1930’s or a story from author Agatha Christie. The looks also featured whimsical archaeological inspired printed bone pieces that were really unique.
