Tadashi Shoji inspiration was clear and well executed. The result was a charming and ethereal gathering of dresses that were vibrant, pretty and delicate with bold accents peeking through.
Furthermore, in this collection Tadashi expertly experimented with shades and volume and best presented in the first set of ombre gowns and dresses. We particularly were smitten with the first look to walk down the runway, a magnolia hand-painted silk linen strapless tulip shaped dress, the dress was clear indication of what was to come. And, that Mr. Shoji meant business and did ever deliver.
The latter dresses, a collection of mostly “nude” tulle dresses with either lace details or floral accents, showcased Shoji understanding of the woman’s body. These silhouettes are sophisticated, feminine and are enhanced by the subtle use of ruching.
Overall the collection was well presented, and with the array of dresses we think every gal will find dresses that can take them to various event with style. we certainly have our eye on a few pieces.
