#NYFW: 60 Seconds With Whitney Pozgay
The Fabulous Report (TFR): What is your inspiration for spring/summer 2014?
Whitney Pozgay (WP): Our Spring 14 collection was inspired by a recent trip to Bali and the lightness of being that I find when traveling abroad. I fell in love with the people there and was excited to bring what I learned from them to the collection.
TFR: Did you go anywhere fun this summer?
WP: We spent time seeing family and friends in New Orleans and Texas. Lots of good Southern food and fantastic company.
TFR: Speaking of summer, what has been your favorite song this summer?
WP: I have been obsessed with Austra this summer, but Neil Young’s “On the Beach” has been a favorite.
TFR: Since back to school season is starting, let’s talk about that. Do you remember your favorite first day of school outfit? If so what did you wear?
WP: I grew up in Arizona where it is still in the upper 90s-100s when school starts. My first day of high school, I wanted to look really “cool” so I wore an angora sweater tee and a plaid mini skirt with boots (it was the 90’s). I was dying in the heat. Instead, I looked just like a hot mess.
TFR: Looking forward to the return of any shows?
WP: I have been watching Breaking Bad, but I am looking forward It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia to start again.
TFR: Lastly, what’s your favorite cocktail?
WP: Dark and Stormy or any sort of spicy Margarita.
