Hot! Jason Derulo Rocks The Jimmy for his Future History Listening Session

Image thanks to NY Times

The Jimmy at the James Hotel, is swanky and super exclusive as capacity is very small (70 people inside, 60 on the patio).  Still on any giving day, hordes of lanky models flanked by rich business types can be seen enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The venue offers impressive views of the New York City skyline, a working fire place with a set of beautiful couches situated in front, and of there’s a gorgeous pool. The interior is sleek and sexy but The Jimmy still feels like home. So, is not surprising why celebrities like James Franco and Ryan Reynolds have chosen to party here.

And, perhaps why musician Jason Derulo’s people may have chosen the location for his latest listening session.

Held late at night, the celebration was refreshingly devoid of the usual party types instead it was filled with a mellow and very small group of influencers and journalists; guests breathed the enchanting air as they sipped hydrating cocktails from Circoc mixed with Vita Coco and listened to the sounds of DJ Manero. Indeed, the intimate setting with the savory selection of cocktails was a great way to kill time as we waited for the guest of honor to arrive.

Shortly before 11pm Derulo, who has sold 850,000 albums worldwide and over 13 Million singles, arrive surprisingly without much of an entourage (at least from we were sitting). The Don’t Wanna Go Home singer mingled with guests including model Miss USA Alyssa Campanella and Jessica White who looked stunning (even by model standards) for a bit before introducing tracks from his “Future History” album.

Derulo shared a story for each track, including one of a lovestruck woman, who after a night of passion with the singer began to stalk to singer, and a few other other equally entertaining stories to the obviously eager crowd. It safe to say a great night was had by all. We certainly did.
