Sneak Peek: Juicy Couture Holiday 2011 Collection
Last week we headed to the Juicy Couture showroom to preview their 2011 Holiday collection. Admittedly our expectations were low but in spirit of trying something new we decided to check out the collection and much to our surprise we were pleasantly surprised with the collection.
This holiday Juicy is going for a decidedly girly look. Throughout the collection the color pink is very noticeable and appears in most of the pieces (we assume their target market is lusting after pink clothing). And, while using so much pink may seen overdone to some we think it actually has an opposite effect – a very cohesive collection with some a strong sense of direction. And, that’s enhanced by the more “grown up” accents which includes lace details, tulle, and bright appliqué on some of the pieces. The silhouettes are reminiscent of trendy school uniforms with plaids, miniskirts and bolds colors and v-neck and three bottoms sweaters scattered throughout the collection. Standout pieces include a very bright pink tulle skirt and the faux fur jackets which feel soft and look pretty amazing.
At the preview we also got a sneak peek at the latest collection of nail polishes from Juicy Couture in partnership with Deborah Lippmann. They are bright, vibrant, and so holiday. We can’t wait to get our hands on those colors.
