We love guacamole. … Guacamole Festival? See you there!

Starting today through September 30th, Richard Sandoval’s Maya is introducing its first annual Guacamole Festival. Maya is a modern Mexican kitchen and tequileria by renowned chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval. The festival will feature different flavors that highlight various regional experiences. Try a variety of tastes by calling for the Guacamole Toastada Sampler, which includes a tasting of Baja, Pacifico & Sur guacamoles with mini toastadas, habanero salsa, and tomatillo salsa ($14).

Among the offerings like the Baja (taking inspiration from Baja California flavors like kiwi, jicama, mango, and more) and Pacifico (made with grilled beet, roasted walnuts, and diced orange), the Guacamole Festival will also highlight flavors like Bacon, Tuna Tartare, and Spicy Crab.

And of course, you can always opt for the Traditional. But we dare you to opt for the adventurous!

Maya Modern Mexican Kitchen and Tequileria is located at 1191 First Avenue (between 64th & 65th Street). For reservations or more information please call (212) 585-1818 or visit www.richardsandoval.com.
