Photolibrary Kicks Off Summer with a Party at Metro Grill
It was a perfect Summer evening on Wednesday the 23rd and I walked with enthusiasm to the Photolibrary “Come Cool Out” party taking place on the Penthouse Rooftop of Metro Grill on 45W 35th street. I exited the elevator at the penthouse and when I entered the rooftop I was greeted with wings, mildly spiced buffalo chicken wings. From then on I knew it was going to be a good evening. The party was open bar and I reviewed the assortment of beer on tap and decided to go with my usual choose of a Blue Moon, my favorite summer drink.
So with a Blue Moon in one hand and a chicken wing in the other I parked myself under the bright red gazebo hovering over half of the roof deck party, and indulged. The crowd was lively and the excitement of summer was in the air, and after my quick snack I made my way over to the organizer Mr Keshida Layone. We had a brief conversation in which he gave me a briefing on the Photolibrary and its vast array of international clientele. Photographers, publishers, marketing companies even countries go to the Photolibrary for imagery or to display their images.
The rooftop party had a small gathering of a few Photolibrary clients to show appreciation for their business and to jump start the summer season. There were no swag, just beautiful, charismatic and charming individuals, all of whom stood on the Metro Grill roof top deck and enjoyed the sunset. Everyone was from everywhere and although some of us were just getting to know each other, we all shared a common interest, centered around our appreciation for great chicken wings, a Fabulous open bar and good company. And even when the open bar ended and the chicken wings were done, we still had each other.
