Harbour Restaurant Opening
Richard Schaefer has teamed up with Chef Joe Isidori (yes, Donald Trump’s personal chef, so you know he is good) to launch “Harbour” a nautical inspired theme restaurant with a menu consisting of fish dishes, shell fish, and a few meat entrees. Mr. Schaeffer spent $3 Million to renovate the place so that it appears like a very expansive boat; hey, great work does not come cheap but its money spent.
In preparation for the grand opening of the “Harbour” Restaurant (3/23/09) opened its doors to a select few yesterday(3/21/09). I was lucky enough to attend the pre-opening celebration and I was instantly blown away by its beauty and I was more impressed by the fact that I was greeted with a glass of Moet Rose bubbly. Now, if you know anything about me, you will know that I gauge events by the presence of champagne so having Moet instantly made happy. After getting my glass of champagne the waiter escorted my guest and me to our table where I quickly spotted Rosie Perez. I had to use all my of will power not scream a reference from “Do the Right Thing.”
We were quickly seated and given three course menu to select from. I must say the staff was extremely attentive not to mention incredibly attractive. I mean, seriously, where did they find them? An attractive wait staff and a glass of Moet just really impressed me. So, I was excited and couldn’t wait for my meal. Let me tell you the food was AMAZING! Did I say it was amazing? Because, it was! For my main course I had a salmon a dish that literally melted in my mouth – delicious. I was not terribly impressed with the dessertm but that’s okay because I was so happy with everything else that I am willing to sacrifice that for food (and I am big dessert person). Now, Megu used to be my favorite restaurant but that it been dethroned because of my dinning experience at Harbour.
So, if you are looking to impress anyone look no further then Harbour. Hours of operation: Monday through Wednesday, and 5:30 p.m. till 11:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. April will see the launch of lunch as well as a Sunday brunch.
