Hot! Celebrate Friday the 13 Like a Boss With These Cocktails

Not that we are surreptitious but there’s something about Friday the 13th that seems so ominous. As if we are just one beetlejuice saying away from becoming the subject of a scary made-for-television movie. If you’re anything like us, the best way to deal with today is by having a great day and time. So, here are some cocktails to get you going. Happy Friday the 13th.

4 parts Tres Agaves Bloody Maria Mix
2 parts Tres Agaves Tequila
Celery stalk for garnish

Directions: Combine both ingredients over ice in highball glass, garnish with a celery stalk.

The Unlucky Rob Roy

1 large chunk of ice
1 part Dewar’s Scotch Whisky
1 part MARTINI Gran Lusso
Orange peel or twist to garnish

Directions: Build drink in a cocktail glass with ice. Garnish and serve.

Caramel Ginger Mojito
2 parts BLACK VELVET Toasted Caramel
1/2 part ginger liqueur
1/4 part lime juice
Club soda
Fresh lime wedges
1 cube brown sugar
2 kaffir lime leaves

Directions: Muddle mint with sugar and one kaffir lime leaf in the bottle of a tall glass. Fill with ice, whisky, ginger liquer and lime juice. Add club soda and garnish with lime wedges and remaining mint leaves.

Tender Stalker

1 ½ parts Solbeso
½ part simple syrup
¾ parts celery juice
Dash celery bitters
2 lime wedges

Directions: Muddle limes, simple syrup, bitters add celery juice, Solbeso and ice. Shake and pour in to large rocks glass.

One More Encore (Shooter)

½ oz. Crystal Head Vodka
½ oz. premium white tequila
1 oz. grapefruit juice

Ingedients for Rimmer:
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
½ tsp. smoked paprika

Directions: Rub the rim of a shot glass with a lemon wedge and dip into salt, pepper and paprika mix. In a shaker filled with iced add Crystal Head Vodka, tequila and grapefruit juice. Shake well and then strain into the rimmed the shot glass.

SVEDKA's Pour Leaf Clover
2 parts SVEDKA vodka
3/4 part fresh lime juice
3/4 part simple syrup

Directions: Muddle mint at the bottom of a pilsner glass and build drink on top over ice. Stir with ice and garnish with mint.

Superstitious Sipper
1 ½ parts Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
½ lime
½ part simple syrup
2 sage leaves (plus more for garnish)
Soda water
Cucumber slice (for garnish)

Directions: Muddle together sage and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Squeeze in juice from half a lime, add tequila and ice. Stir and pour into glass. Top with soda water and garnish with a sage leaf and cucumber slice.

The Freaky Friday Daiquiri

2 oz Caliche Rum
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Agave Nectar
1 Fresh Strawberry
Garnish: Strawberry

Directions: In a shaker, combine all ingredients, then lightly muddle the strawberry. Shake vigorously until well chilled. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass and garnish with strawberry.

The Superstitious Sapphire Peppered Peach Tea Collins

1 ½ oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin
¾ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
1 ½ oz. Peach Iced Tea
Pinch of Black Pepper
Club Soda
Garnish: peach slide and lemon twist

Directions: Build with ice in a Collins glass. Top with Club Soda.

Ruffino Elisir Magico
6 oz Ruffino Moscato d’Asti
.5 oz Nux Alpina Black Walnut Liqueur
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Add Black Walnut Liqueur and bitters into a wine glass over ice. Top with 6 oz of Ruffino Moscato d’Asti. Serve in a wine glass with an orange twist.
