Ferragamo Celebrates New Handbag Line with a Star-Studded Party
Salvatore Ferragamo’s legacy for creating fashionable items for the stylish set continues with the debut of FIAMMA, a new handbag collection inspired by the family’s legacy.
To celebrate the collection, which was named after Salvatore’s late daughter Fiamma, Ferragamo gathered a rarefied group of stylish women from distinguished families such as Mariel and Langley Fox Hemingway, Stella and Lola Schnabel, Anika and Sydney Poitier, Helena Bordon, Marcella and Luciana Tranchesi, and more, to showcase the offerings with a series of short films and exclusive photographs.
As in the past, the Ferragamo family hosted a super intimate dinner to fete the film series along with the handbags. On Tuesday, Lily Aldridge, Giovanna Battaglia, Ann Dexter Jones, Claire Distenfeld, Rachel Chandler Guinness, Karolina Kurkova, Chelsea Leyland, Leandra Medine, Matthew Mellon, Meredith Melling Burke, Sean O’Pry, Lauren Remington Platt, Garrett Neff, Alexia Niedzielski, Misha Nonoo, Vincent Ottomanelli*, Indre Rockefeller, Anne V., Neville Wakefield and others enjoyed dinner pairings at Casa Lever and previewed the film series.
FIAMMA handbags, which are now online, will have you salivating and lusting for them. Here’s why: the bags featured a semi-circular top handle, designed in a range of five variant sizes and a functional pocket fastened with a lock that recalls the Gancio. The combination of undeterred quality and functionality translates into a rich series of luxe details: top-stitched ribbed handles, double zip hardware closure, removable adjustable shoulder strap and elegant satin lining. And so fancy.
