The truth is, we always want to know what Lupita Nyong’o is wearing – and that goes for her beauty secrets just as much it does for her one-after-another best dressed moments on the red carpet. At last night’s much anticipated 2014 Met Gala, the fashion favorite and Lancôme ambassador stepped out in a unique, green Prada number with a look beautifully created by makeup artist Nick Barose and nail guru Deborah Lippman.

Purple smoky eyes, pink stained cheeks, and bronze-berry lips accentuated the unique textures of the actress’ gown. Here’s a breakdown of the products Barose packed into his arsenal to create Lupita’s Met Gala look:

Barose, prepped the skin with Lancôme Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate and then used Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer. To get Lupita camera ready, Barose used Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation in 500 Suede C and Lancôme Dual Finish Powder & Foundation in 500 Suede C. And rounded the look with with Armani Maestro Blush 300 and Armani Cheek Fabric 509

We loved Lupita’s eyes. And the look was created using Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Miss Sweetheart D.  Nick also used the Lancôme Aquatique Waterproof Eyecolour Base and the Hypnôse Mascara in Black to make the eyes pop.

Lupita shimmery and natural lips were created using Lancôme Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick in Sheer Chocolate and Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Lipcolor in Bordeaux

Deborah Lippman opted for purple hued nails to complement Lupita’s dazzling emerald dress. “We…created a modern effect, layering green iridescent lilac, allowing the nails to change colors as she moved,” said Lippman. To finish the look both the nails and the feet were layered with a super shiny top-coat. To create the look, use a deep hunter green lacquer and an iridescent lavender lacquer. Layer the lavender lacquer over the green polish and seal with a long-lasting top-coat.
