Deal with Your ‘Scandal’ Withdrawal & Learn About the Stars Beauty Routine
Like many people, I obsessively watch Scandal. The twist and turns that befall on the stars always keeps me coming back for more as well as the unpredictable plots. But what really gets me excited is Olivia Pope’s unspoken dialogue: the fashion and the flawless skin. It turns out that Olivia’s glow is created using products that are fairly affordable. My friends Makeda (of Glamazondiaries) and Lara (of Pretty Connected) hosted an intimate Scandal party at the Carlton Hotel, where a few bloggers and I got the inside scoop of products that are used on the show’s cast from Denise Hooper (follow her on twitter @scandalmakeup, the in house makeup artists).
Lorac Pro Palette Eyeshadow ($42) – If you can get it, buy it and buy lots as the palette is so loved that it is hard to keep on shelves. It was created by celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw and is packed with eight Shimmer and eight Matte Eye Shadows in all the shades you need to create a slew of looks from date night to wedding makeup. Included with the palette is the Mini Behind The Scenes Eye Primer, making this palette the brand’s #2 seller. Available at Ulta.com.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($30) – A favorite among bloggers and stars from Scandal, these cooling gels help to de-puff, tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and if you have a particularly late night, the cooling gels will help make you look rested. What’s more, it takes just ten minutes to see use.
