Penn Badgley Celebrates the Premiere of Greetings from Tim Buckley at Catch
On Tuesday, a bearded Penn Badgley arrived at Meatpacking District’s Catch Roof. Naturally his appearance sent the photographers (and the ladies and a few fellas) into a tissy. Badgley, who was joined by model Charlotte Kemp Muhl and musician Frank Bello, was on hand at the party to celebrate his new movie Greetings from Tim Buckley which premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Though he didn’t talk to press at the Bombay Sapphire sponsored party, Badgley did talk to WSJ recently about the movie which chronicles the life of musician Jeff Buckley. “I was forced into the head space that was deeply emotional and spiritual, where I just was trying to honor this guy and trying to also evoke him and live a little bit like he was,” Badgley tells WSJ’s “Speakeasy”. “I mean trust me, I was well aware of the task ahead of me. It was a tall mountain to climb, but you’ve got to start climbing and just do it.”
