Here’s Why Pepsi and Nicola Formichetti Want You
The 2015 #PepsiChallenge titled “Live for Now” design challenge is here – and here’s what’s in it for you. The challenge was issued at Milan Design Week last week by Pepsi‘s global ambassador Nicola Formichetti, who showcased his personally designed Pepsi packaging with his signature Nicopanda emblem. From now until May 13, 2015, Pepsi and Formichetti are calling on the world’s creative types (looking at you) for their own submissions. The canvas? A blank Pepsi can. The call-to-action? Make it your own design.
Got an idea to bring the next generation design of Pepsi to life? Submissions are accepted at www.pepsichallenge.com. What’s at stake: one winning designer will be selected and offered a unique design experience at the PepsiCo Design & Innovation Center here in NYC. The judges for this contest include notables from the world of fashion and design, including Vogue Italia’s Franca Sozzani, Karim Rachid, PepsiCo’s Chief Design Officer Mauro Porcini, and more.
Formichetti shared, “I find inspiration around me constantly, particularly by the borderless world of design. From fashion and architecture to products and brands, design can be found in many mediums and created by individuals of all talents. The ‘Live for Now’ Design Challenge was a challenge I couldn’t wait to accept and I am excited to see what the world conceives of and shares back.”
