Yummie Tummie Fall 2010
Shapewear, has gotten a lot more stylish thanks to Heather Thomson, founder of Yummie Tummie (shapewear, that does not look like grandma’s bloomers). Thomson, a former celebrity stylist and former creative force behind such recognizable brands like P. Diddy’s Sean Jean, Beyoncé’s House of Dereon, Dereon and others, invented a clever three-panel system that perfectly shapes to a woman’s body and shaves five pounds off the midsection.
ummm, five pounds without a diet– say what? We think we love her.
Though, Thomson, created the line for “selfish” reasons, when her body underwent changes after the birth of her children, muffin tops everywhere are cowering in fear. Plus, the collection is so inclusive that women from XS to XL can get their Yummie Tummie on.
We recently previewed the new Fall 2010 collection(and received our very own Yummie Tank), when Thomson, walked us through the pieces. For the first time prints, were introduced into the collection. The prints include animal, army and a series of other chic prints, for the woman on the go. And, pieces from the collection include, undergarment, body slimming yoga pants, leggins and tanks.
Of particular interest is the embellished tanks(which we loved), and we were particularly impressed with the introduction of the button-down shirt this season. The button-down shirt, looks so effortless that we still are in disbelief it’s actually shapewear. Her ability to perfectly create such a piece is proof that she has mastered shapewear in a way that’s uniquely her own.
