Piazza Sempione Wows with Versatility and Elegance
This past Wednesday (March 23), Piazza Sempione hosted an exclusive and very elegant cocktail reception at their Madison Avenue Showroom to preview their Fall and Winter 2011 collection. The “Back Home” collection featured pieces reminiscent of revisiting an old home and that excitement of rediscovering the contents within. A notable piece was a short cocktail dress with a vintage house print in cerulean. This enchanting print, which is repeated throughout the collection, gives the feeling of peeling back the top layer of wall paper and discovering a hidden print beneath.
“We really like to dress our lady from day to night,” says Cristina Cavatore, Communication Director for Piazza Sempione.
The collection successfully blends the classic with the modern, allowing for chic basics that can be worn in a variety of occasions. A knit coat with leather detailing, for example, presents a versatile basic piece with a touch of chic, unique detail.
The colors in this Piazza Sempione collection are bold, daring, and alluring – a very sophisticated line of pieces that, through the use of layers, and clean, asymmetric lines, speak to chic versatility. The many textures of the multiple fabrics and materials used in this collection, such as leather, fringe, and wool further strengthen the sophistication of this collection.
The accessories were in line with this fabulous collection, boasting striking details. A favorite accessory was a medium height boot that, upon removing the top panel, conveniently transformed into a shorter boot – delightful versatility that is threaded throughout this collection.
The reception included wonderfully delectable or hors d’œuvre and champagne, as well as a gift bag that contained a stylish fedora!
