DIFFA Holds Their 15th Annual Dining by Design Event
Last week, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS held their 15th annual Dining by Design tour at Pier 94. Running concurrently with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, this event featured a variety of dining installations by various trendsetters in architecture, interior design, fashion, and food.
DIFFA artists featured dining environments that ranged from classic to contemporary, from traditional to chic. One of our favorites included the lovely design by Marchesa for Lenox, which included delicate silverware and crystal paired with black china etched with silver, and a delicate bunch of roses as the centerpiece. We also loved the work by other designers included David Rockwell, David Stark, Evette Rios, Richard Chai and Jonathan Adler. Guests were treated to cocktails by design, including champagne spritzers and martinis. Light bites such as fine cheeses and sweets were also served.
As one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the country, DIFFA is a noteworthy philanthropic organization responsible for providing over $40 million to AIDS service organizations around the world. At $150 per ticket, participants were supporting a great cause for the opportunity to view beautiful installations, mingle among free flowing cocktails, and light bites. Fantastic!
