The British invaded NYC. Well Kinda. British Airways and VisitBritain held a soiree “The Big British Invite," last night. As you would expect, the evening was all about British culture. A "massive airplane" served as a background with vignettes featuring everything from a flower station, a club, bars, a faux "cash cab", food stations and loads of other fun happenings. The event was hosted by Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens and singer Estelle. Also in attendance were Alexa Chung, Atlanta de Cadenet, Kate Foley, Tali Lennox and Zanna Roberts Rassi and Chelsea Leyland on the turntables. You can check out the space over the weekend at 78 Mercer. As the space is open to anyone over 21 free-of-charge. Check it out.

Oh there's more of the Brits in NYC. Last night, boohoo.com, UK-Based online retailer, celebrated the US launch of their site with a massive rave. For the occasion  boohoo staffers, created The HACIENDA club with creative fixtures and darling touches. The venue replicated the UK club with the same name. Party-goers including Shenae Grimes and Josh Beech, partied in a festival like atmosphere.  Models wearing pieces from the shop and a makeshift graffiti served as a backdrop for the raucous celebration.

UGG hosted a party at Casa La Femme, to showcase their spring 2013 collection. Guests including editors, stylists and fashion types, were treated to custom cocktails, light bites, and were transported to a posh middle-eastern club. Belly-dancers entertained guests with lively performances. Tarot card readers offered valuable insight to guest willing to have their fortune read (or so we heard). And a bracelet making station rounded the activities. Naturally  the offerings were sprinkled throughout the space.
