The Women’s Project Recognizes Bebe Neuwirth and Bonnie Pfeifer Evans
This past Monday (March 7th),The Women’s Project held it’s 26th annual Women of Achievement gala, celebrating the achievements of women in American Theater. The gala, which was hosted by Kathleen Turner, was buzzing with New York celebrities sipping champagne and enjoying delectable or d’ oeuvres in the beautiful Espace in midtown Manhattan. This year, The Women’s Project recognized Bebe Neuwirth, who is currently starring in the Broadway show, The Addams Family, model and philanthropist Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, and Mindy Grossman HSN Incorporated’s Chief Executive Officer.
As the nation’s oldest company dedicated to producing and promoting theater created by women, The Women’s Project’s recognition of achievements in women’s theater is a noble investment in the New York theater community and the theater community at large.
We were able to catch up with Bonnie Pfeifer Evans and chat with her about the organization. So what did she have to say about The Women’s Project? “The Women’s Project is a perfect demonstration of support for women in theater. It’s the Sundance of theater for women, supporting emerging artists.“
The Women of Achievement gala was certainly a perfect example of the enthusiastic support and recognition of the achievements of women in theater. Right On!
