Target Celebrates Five Years of Go International at Ace Hotel
When you are on a mission a little thing such as a monsoon is no deterrent from stopping said mission. And, so it was that a flock of eager shoppers and party-goers made their way to the Ace Hotel this past Thursday (March 10) in the thundering rain to shop the Target Go International Designer Collective Collection before it officially hit stores. In fact the venue was “at capacity” very early on the evening – rain or no rain people were ready to party.
The posh hotel was the chosen locale to celebrate five years of GO International and was transformed into a mini pop-up shop where dresses from the collection were peppered throughout the lobby. Guests like Chloe Sevigny, Liv Tyler, Lake Bell, Michelle Trachtenberg (whom we unwittingly frightened – sorry Michelle), Olivia Munn, Aziz Ansari, Erin Fetherston, Thakoon, Richard Chai, Rogan Gregory, Nina Garcia, June Ambrose and other VIP’s, joined Target and Opening Ceremony to get the party started.
The party, which included performances from Santigold, a surprise performance from Sheila E (we are bummed we missed her), a dance routine from Bronx step group Bad News, and the sounds of DJ Mia Moretti and partner electric violinist Caitlin Moe, was as expected a fabulous fête. Guests were enjoyed the company of celebrity impersonator as they enjoyed food, drinks, and the company of some serious fashion A-listers.
The designer collective, which features 34 dresses (each costing less than $45) from 17 past designer, is available to shop now at Target.com and Target stores.
