Napoleon Perdis Creates Nordic Ice Princess Look for Elise Overland
We visited Napoleon Perdis backstage where the makeup artist was prepping for for Elise Overland’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Not surprisingly, Perdis was busy transforming models (and ice skaters) into beautiful Ice Princesses who had radiant, luminous skin with seemingly very little makeup. Luckily we managed to snag Napoleon a few minutes and he graciously walked us through the process. “We wanted to create a luminous feel that was very elusive and to the point,” said Perdis. The process is simple.
The models were first prepped with Skyn Iceland soothing eye gel patches to smooth away any signs of stress beneath the eyes. After de-stressing, the Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto-Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer were applied to prep the skin. This was followed by a small amount of foundation and Light Patrol luminizer palate for a natural glow.
Since Perdis wanted to create a Nordic look, he made the eyes glow with his incredible Quick Silver eye shadow crème and followed by adding mascara to the bottom lashes to strengthen the base. Finishing with electro lips, Napoleon Perdis succeeded in creating a magical Ice Princess transformation.
