Well Done, Helen. Well Done.
At yesterday’s Oscars actress Helen Hunt wore a midnight-blue silk satin strapless full length-gown from fast fashion retailer H&M and she looked great doing so. One would presume that with her impressive curriculum vitae–including a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in the film, The Sessions– she would have her choice of couture gowns from notable designers. So the choice is incredibly refreshing.
“It’s an honor and joy to design this gown for one of the most amazing actresses in the world. We admire Helen Hunt and it feels fantastic to create a gown for such a memorable occasion,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Head of Design on creating the custom gown.
Of course, Hunt, paired her H&M dress with $700,000 worth of bling. After all, she is rich and famous. Plus, this way she can say, I’ve mixed high and low and killed it. And, for that we have to laud her.
