#NYFW: Libertine Fall 2014 Beauty Backstage Report
The morning after hair, has never looked so right as it did on models showcasing Libertine Fall offerings.
Akemi Tamaribuchi, Artistic Director for Kérastase, tousled the models dry locks using Kérastase’s Spray-A-Poter. The product was used from roots to ends and then the hair was braided on the nape of the neck. Once that was completed, Tamaribuchi sprayed Powder Bluff throughout and lightly tease hair in sections for added volume and texture. The result was a glorious faux bob.
To complete look, Katie Jane Hughes, butter LONDON Global Colour Ambassador, created a look reminiscing of glam, goth and a bit of a party girl.
For the face: Hughes, firstly prepped the skin and then used butter LONDON Cream Bronzer in Bit Faker (available Summer ’14), to contour the hollows of the cheek.
On the eyes: Hughes created a deep smokey eye. She did so by curling the eyelashes, and then used LONDON WINK Mascara in Union Jack Black and she then used a freshly sharpened Union Jack Black Eye Pencil. Jet Black Shadow from butter LONDON (out Fall/Winter ’14) was then smudged over the eye. To finish the look Hughes, lined the lower lashes with the Alabaster Gaze eye pencil. This gave the eye a bold look. Something you might see from your party girl.
The nails: Featured hint of sparkles. Hughes, applied butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Diamond Geezer as a base and then used The Black Knight to the tips of the nails. For the sparkle effect, Katie used Nail Lacquer in Stardust and the new Nail Lacquer in Anorak, a black, white and silver chunky glitter overcoat (available in March 2014) over the entire nail.
