Get the Look from #NYFW: alice + olivia Fall 2014
For alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet, Fall 2014 is all about a collection focused on sharp tailoring with Victorian and bohemian flavor peppered throughout. The corresponding hairstyle was created by TRESemmé Global Stylist, Matthew Curtis. Taking Bendet’s lead on making “luxury and decadence wearable,” Curtis created backcombed curls inspired by Victorian style. The result = big (and we mean big), voluminous hair.
Tempted to try this look at home? You’ll need a one-inch curling iron, comb, pin curl clips, and a soft-bristle brush. Curtis used just two products during the styling process: TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray and TRESemmé Two Freeze Hold Hairspray. Here’s how:
#1: Divide hair into a middle part. Using a one-inch curling iron, curl the hair horizontally. Pin each curl with pin curl clips and allow hair to cool.
#2: Once cooled, remove the pins one by one, and use a soft-bristle brush to gently backcomb each curl. Spray roots with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray and tease into place.
#3: Repeat this process working from the bottom to the top of the head, ensuring you focus the teasing at the roots for that voluminous feel.
#4: To finish, smooth out the part to create a strong graphic finish. Set the look with a blast of TRESemmé TRES Two Freeze Hold Hairspray.
