Hot! Gallery Moving Woes: Your Beauty Bare Essentials

There’s no doubt about it… moving is a pain. After moving for the third time in the past year and a half, I decided to give some more consideration to my moving woes beforehand, and voila! I bring to you the beauty bare essentials – a tried-and-true “survival kit,” if you will, that made my process of moving much less painful and made looking put together one less thing to worry about when all of my belongings were sealed away in boxes.

A tip from Homes.com if you are moving = create an essentials kit. Choose or mark a container that will stand out from the rest of your moving boxes. Pack like you are going on an overnight  trip. Include all the necessities (this means all of your favorite beauty basics!). Add in pajamas and an outfit that will help you conquer unpacking the next day in style. Then throw in a book, your laptop and of course your phone and laptop chargers.

I hope this will come of use to you for your next move, or as inspiration for new products to drop into your every day or travel routine.

The Sunset by Crane & Canopy

Cherish your sleep and do it in style. When moving, anything that can make a night's sleep in a new environment more comfortable should be at the top of the list of things to unpack first.

Case in point: I love the stylish and playful pattern of my Crane & Canopy duvet, and the light gray color basically matches anything. Plus, the edge piping gives it a tailored finish that dresses up my bed. It's made out of 100% cotton, which is extremely important in that any fabric with direct contact to your skin needs to breathe.

Check out the various styles and shades fit for any Sleeping Beauty - right now, the top bedroom trends include grays and geometric patterns! And the best part... the company prides itself on its designer products that can be yours for just a fraction of standard (aka outrageous) designer prices.

Adventuress Sample Tin

It may take at least a day or two to initially get through the more high priority boxes right after moving, but there's no need to sacrifice your cleansing regimen. Keep a fresh face despite the perils of moving with this Sample Tin from Adventuress, which includes samples of the Naturally Liberating Cleanser, Vividly Restorative Skin Purifier, Boldly Nourishing Moisturizer, Fearlessly Refreshing Facial Wipe and High Performance Sunscreen Wipe.

Considering that Adventuress products bear the active lifestyle in mind, you can bet that these will do the job during the transition from old home to new. You can stock up and keep a few tins handy for any weekend trips coming up, too!

Mally Beauty Double Duty Perfect Tweezers

Don't let those brow hairs get out of control while you're trying to organize your new living space! I've had these handy dandy tweezers by Mally Beauty for almost 4 years now, and I never leave home without them when I'm going on a trip or staying elsewhere for a night. They're so perfect that I actually rarely use the side with the thinner, more fine tweezers because the other side always gets the job done.

Mario Badescu Drying Cream

As you know from previous instances here on The Fabulous Report, I'm a big fan of anything Mario Badescu, and with good reason. This time I'm spotlighting the trusty Drying Cream, which comes in a small container that makes it easy to carry around on the go when needed, but packs a potent formula that virtually erases blemishes and prevents them from spreading. Just apply when you feel that under-surface bump of a new pimple, or even on erupted ones.

The cream is light and versatile enough to wear under makeup.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

This BB cream that boasts 8-in-1 benefits has been one of my main beauty go-tos since I completed my move. As I was in the process of packing things away, I could slip this into my purse for touch-ups on the go during the day. It definitely brightens my complexion and does an admirable job of covering imperfections without feeling heavy or cakey.

Around $7-10 depending on retail location, available at Walmart, Target, Ulta, and more

Miracle Skin Transformer Treat & Conceal

"Cover. Correct. Protect." This is one of the best concealers I've ever tried - from its hydration benefits to its superiority in covering skin imperfections. Dab a sparing amount (a little goes a long way!) to under the eye and anywhere else needed on the face to get airbrushed finish. This powerful concealer not only covers dark and red spots, but has benefits similar to a primer in smoothing out lines.

Dr. Hauschka Hand Cream

After packing, sealing, and opening countless boxes, not to mention moving them from point A to point B, my hands felt especially dry and prone to paper cuts with everything I touched (the dry winter weather didn't help either).

This is another one of those items that has found its new home almost perpetually in my purse, because I always need it on the go. The hand cream leaves my skin feeling instantly soft but not oily. The smell is more medicinal than it is heavily scented like other creams, but that's a minor characteristic that's easy to get past when you experience the effectiveness of this moisturizer.

JUARA Tiare Jasmine Fragrance Oil

The rollerball applicator makes this fragrance oil from JUARA beyond easy to transport and apply. With a mixture of Indonesian tiare flower, magnolia petals, and jasmine, the resulting scent is light and feminine but stays on all day.
