Kaelen Fall 2011 Collection Backstage
To compliment a collection rinsed in Old West and Victorian styles consisting of a palette of mustard, teal, red and mauve with pleat, patchwork and fringe details, the beauty team created a soft but purposeful look.
Backstage at Kaelen Farncombe’s Fall 2011 collection presentation, Cutler and Napoleon Perdis conspired to create a juxtaposition of natural and textured elements fitting of the line inspired by Sam Haskin’s “Cowboy Kate and Other Stories.”
Three tight, side corn rows set off the hair which was gathered at the nape of the neck, sprayed with Redken shine spray, back-combed and brought into a wispy, homespun side braid. The front of the hair was left soft and loose, an easy look to recreate.
Make-up was delicate and natural with warm matte neutrals on the lids and mouth. Skin was prepped using Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum followed by Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer. With a Flawless Foundation Brush, artists buffed Sheer Genius Foundation onto the face, and blended in an outward direction. Pro – Palette Concealer was dotted under the eye area and any areas of redness for a flawless finish.
Peep Show Mascara – Madame Fantasia brought volume and length to lashes while Mosaics blush in Bronzing and Blushing was applied to the cheeks for a sun-kissed look. DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Hess accomplished a matte pink pout. Putty-colored nails completed the look.
