Isaac Mizrahi Teamed Up with HP to Change the Look of SmartWatches
Smartwatches are all of the rage. But, they look well, like small wrist computers and not fashionable at all. But thanks to fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi that might be a thing of the past. Mizrahi, recently teamed up with HP to create a smartwatch with a clear focus on fashion first and technology second. “I knew that I didn’t want it to look like the average smartwatch,” he explained. “It’s hard to integrate something so modern and mechanical looking into a feminine look, and I wanted the design to be a hidden treasure. The result is beautiful, refined and will be every woman’s BEST accessory.”
It is indeed a beautiful swatch. It features a Swarovski Crystal-outlined face (in either silver or gold-tone stainless steel) with the choice of five interchangeable leather straps. Naturally it is also functional. The watch offers essential features like message notifications, social media connection, and a pedometer. The analog movement with digital display features a translucent color-matched dial that hides the digital display when inactive and features luminous hands. It retails for $249.99 and its available at Hp.com
Naturally, to celebrate the collaboration, a party was held and attracted some bold face names including Isaac Mizrahi, the evening’s DJ, Fiona Byrne (wearing the new smartwatch), Jacqui Stafford, Phillip Bloch, Dana Bronfman, Dee & Ricky Jackson, Donal Brophy, Katie Gallagher (Designer), and more!
