VH1 and Time Out New York Host “You’re Cut Off!” Party
VH1’s “You’re Cut Off!” produced by Fly on the Wall Entertainment, returns to television for its second season. VH1 teamed up with Time Out New York to throw an exclusive party at the hip night spot District 36 to celebrate the show’s season premier. A DJ spun booty shaking beats while party goers posed for pictures with their favorite cast members and took the “You’re Cut Off” quiz on iPads circulating among party guests.
Eight over-privileged debutants are stripped of their parents’ free flowing cash and credit cards are forced to live in a house together, sharing their lives, their drama, and only one coveted bathroom. “Eight of us in a house with one bathroom?! That, in itself, would breed drama,” said Jessica Koussevitzky of the season two cast.
Life coach Laura Baron is back to whip these spoiled young ladies into shape. Her goal: to coach them into transforming from spoiled little girls into independent, self-confident, self-sufficient women.
Recruited under the guise of starring in a new hit reality television show “The Search for the Next ‘It’ Girl,” Lauren, Jessica, Hana, Nadia, Marcy, Aimee, Jenn and Shakyra are sent off for a day of shopping only to find that their credit cards have been canceled and the money from their rich benefactors cut off from them.
“We learned to live with people in a close-knit space with seven other girls with a lot of different personalities” says Courtney of season one, who is now pursuing a professional acting and modeling career and has future plans to start a production company.
“I’ve definitely become more independent. I’ve learned that beauty comes from within. It doesn’t matter what labels you put on, it’s what is inside that’s truly happening,” says Amber of season one, who has recently opened her own boutique and consignment shop in Savannah, GA. Way to go ladies!
