Golden Globes the Good/Bad and the Red, Black and Green
Unless you’ve been in a bunker thinking the Armageddon was finally here, you are probably well aware two things happened tonight – one the Jets won and two (what’s really the most important to us) the Golden Globes happened. As usual the award presentation gathered actors from the small screen to the big screen. Not surprisingly lots of pretty dresses and not so pretty ones made it onto the red-carpet. Allow us to tell you who got it right, who failed miserably, and what trends ruled the runway.
Catherine Zeta-Jones – Looked stunning Wearing Monique Lhuillier. The actress, like Anne, wore Van Cleef & Arpels Jewels.
Olivia Wilde – Not only did she channel her inner swan but she looked gorgeous in the Marchesa gown.
Sofia Vergara – Now this is how you wear a body hugging Vera Wang dress. Congrats to her “Golden Globes!”
Eva Longoria – As usually Eva looks amazing in her Zac Posen dress.
Jennifer Love Hewitt – Somewhere a bridesmaid is missing her Romana Keveza gown and she is probably happy it’s gone.
Natalie Portman – Pregnancy is no excuse for this fashion faux paux of a dress from Victor & Rolf.
Julianna Margulies – Her look underwhelms and looks washed out.
Trends on the red-carpet
Black is still the “new black!” We need for celebrities and their stylist to live a little and choose daring colors when dressing for the awards. Still, we loved Piper Perabo with her red lipstick and black gown.
Another hot color of the night- GREEN. Celebrities like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Elisabeth Moss, Mila Kunis and Angelina Jolie (which is surprising as she always wears red) really did the JETS proud tonight. Perhaps they are fans?
