Captain Chesley Sullenberger Honored with a Limited-Edition Luxury Timepiece
In the age where faux-celebrities with no redeemable talent or those who gain their fame by exposing their lady parts, it’s exciting when a brand chooses to laud a truly remarkable people. One such brand is Swiss luxury watchmaker JEANRICHARD, the company has named hero pilot Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger as one its brand ambassador.
On Monday to celebrate Sully’s heroic achievement JEANRICHARD unveiled the “208 Seconds” Aeroscope watch, a limited-edition timepiece that honored the 5th Anniversary of the landing of Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. “We are privileged to have worked with Captain Sullenberger on our new “208 Seconds” Aeroscope,” said Bruno Grande, COO of JEANRICHARD. “The watch showcases the importance of time, Sully’s inspirational achievement in seconds of great urgency, and his efforts since then to continue to help change and improve people’s lives and support organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Rory Staunton Foundation. At the celebration which was held at which took place at Tourneau TimeMachine 57th Street and Madison Avenue in New York City, guests including Gayle King got a sneak peek at the special timekeeper and got to spend time with captain Sully. The captain shared his delight of the partnership with JEANRICHARD and shared an emotional story on his decision to work with the American Red-Cross.
