Target’s Next Designer Collaboration is Really Unexpected…
For their next collaboration, Target partnered with Lilly Pulitzer. If you are keeping track of past designers, this is seems like an unexpected choice. Lilly Pulitzer is popular among shoppers who stray towards classic pieces with subtle hints of colors. That said for Target the choice was clear. Lilly Pulitzer, Target shared was chosen for their ability create fun prints and patterns. “As we started to think about the perfect partner to collaborate with, Lilly Pulitzer was the clear choice given the brand’s inspiring heritage, authority with print and pattern and resort-chic aesthetic,” explained Stacia Andersen, senior vice president, apparel and accessories, Target. Naturally, the team behind Lilly Pulitzer is thrilled to work with Target. “This is an amazing opportunity to reach a very broad audience,” gushed Jane Schoenborn, vice president of creative communications at Lily Pulitzer.
As expected the collection, which we previewed today at a special presentation held at The Four Season’s Pool Room, is filled with a delightful assortment of dulcet prints perfect for the summer season. And, what’s more for the first time, this collection will also include plus size offerings. This way everyone’s money is good at Target for this collection.
The 250-piece limited-edition collection will arrive in stores on April 19. It will include apparel, accessories and shoes for women and girls, as well as home accents, outdoor entertaining accessories, beach gear, travel essentials and more. Additionally, shoppers will find the collection stocked with 15 never before seen prints created by Lilly Pulitzer artists exclusively created for this collection.
