New Year’s Eve: The Dining Guide
Looking to spend the evening out on New Year’s but not out with crazy kids in a club? If you’re looking for a place to dine with your honey? You’re in luck we’ve a list of places having some great dinning specials. The best part? You don’t have to clean up after you’re done.
THE OUT NYC
What's Happening: This New Year’s Eve, executive chef Dale Schnell and KTCHN, created the ultimate New Year’s Eve dining experience! KTCHN will be decked out in a blanket of white. While dining, guests will hear the tunes from the DJ as well as the 3-piece jazz band that will be performing in the lobby. The doors will be open until 12:15 AM for the bar area, serving until 3:30 AM. Guests can choose from two fabulous prix-fixe menus.
First seating starting at 5pm: Enjoy a 4-course menu ($65).
Second seating starting at 8:30pm: Enjoy a 5-course menu ($135) for the 8PM seating.
The prix-fixe price includes a choice of champagne or vodka (1 bottle of champagne or a 1/2 bottle of vodka per ever two guests). Wine pairings are available for an additional $30 per person.
*On New Year’s Day KTCHN will have All-Day “Revive Brunch” served from 10am-5pm, featuring a salad, entrée, along with “All You Can Drink” Brunch Cocktail Bar, featuring unlimited Bloody Marys, Bellinis, & Mimosas for ONLY $45.

BOBBY VAN’S GRILL
What's happening: American grill fare, classics steakhouse favorites, fresh seafood and wood-fired pizza. Specialty dishes include: Porterhouse Steak A premium cut steak that can be shared between two, three or four guests; Chilean Sea Bass Miso & tamari glazed, asparagus, bok choy & shitake mushroom in white truffle fish broth and more. SPECIALTY DRINKS: Bobby Van’s Grill features a rich wine list of international vintages and an original cocktail menu, with signature favorites including: BV’s House Made Sangria.

Hill Country Barbecue Market
What's Happening: Country music recording artist and Broadway star Rachel Potter, will perform in the downstairs Boot Bar. Also, expect specialty cocktails and a champagne toast at midnight, as well as an All You Can Eat menu of Hill Country’s signature smoked meats and sides available upstairs for $27.

What's happening: Maison Premiere will host a special New Year’s Eve party with a special a special pop-up Champagne bar and will feature a special Champagne tasting menu as well as a New Year’s Eve cocktail menu. Party favors and noise makers will be provided.

What's happening: All locations will offer a three-course dinner, open bar, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Also expect The Smith’s signature appetizers and mains. The restaurant will offer its regular a la carte menu until 10p.m. Menus attached for more information.

"A Night in Monte Carlo” at Bagatelle
What's happening: "A taste of the South of France without leaving the city." Bagatelle, promises to make you feel like you are in St. Tropez and will feature a special Prix Fixe menu created by Executive Chef Romuald Jung. The menu will include delights featuring truffles, Dom Pérignon champagne-imbued sauce, and much more. Also expect a champagne toast at midnight, sparklers and the occasional Mega Sundae (not for the faint of heart).

What's happening: The restaurant is offering special prix-fixe menu for $130/per person to ring in 2013. Guests will be treated to a multi-course dinner consisting of many classic Italian dishes traditionally enjoyed during the Holiday season in Rome and throughout Italy, particularly the country side and coasts close to Rome. A DJ spin all night, a champagne toast at midnight, and a la carte menu for wine and cocktails. Sample dishes include: Halibut cheek ravioli with smoked scamorza and spinach, Mushroom tarte tatin with parmigiano and leek and more.

What's happening: In addiction to special New Year's Eve Kaiseki menu from Chef Abe Hiroki, The restaurant will host their annual Mochitsuki, the traditional year-end pounding of mochi rice cakes with a giant wooden hammer and stone pestle. Also, they will have a Kagami Biraki--the breaking open of a barrel of sake at midnight.

Pounds & Ounces
What's Happening: Executive Chef Ted Cipollone of Pounds & Ounces designed a four-course dinner with ingredients that illicit a celebration on your palate like Crispy Langostines with caviar and a scampi reduction for a starter and Grilled Flat Iron Steak with brussel sprouts and a butternut squash puree for your main course. DJ Jimmy Prada spin all night with a live countdown as midnight approaches.
