Party Pictures: alice + olivia Celebrates Partnership with David Chloe with a Rager.
alice + olivia dresses are decidedly feminine. The sort of dresses that one imagines or sees among the wealthy jet-set “girly” women. The alice + olivia girl drink of choice is likely champagne and an evening on the town is likely at a posh venue. She’s an uptown girl.
Yet last night alice + olivia, hosted a party in the meatpacking district that was more downtown than uptown. And it was fun. It was refreshing. It was cool. It was a major rager complete with a glow-in-the-dark room. That room was splattered with works from renowned artist David Chloe.
The evening celebrated the collaboration between Stacey Bendet (alice + olivia creative director) and Chloe and helped raised awareness for the Kindness Project. The duo teamed up to create a special capsule collection adorned with Choe’s distinctive and inspiring “A Woman and a Monkey” painting. The image is used on a shift dress, full skirt and intricately beaded ball gown from the spring collection. The work from Chloe is also the global symbol for the “Kindness Project” – an effort to spread a message of love, kindness and positivity.
The party featured the sounds of current it-girl and sometimes DJ Hannah Bronfman. Notables names including Maxwell, Mia Moretti, Nicky Hilton,Selita, Ebanks, Vashtie and Zosia Mamet. It also included handing dresses that served artistic chandeliers.
