Hot! Gallery Fabulous Thanksgiving Cocktail Recipes For Endless Fun

Another year and another opportunity to take a time to celebrate for what we are thankful for surrounded by friends and family.  This year, it seems, especially after Sandy, we here have a lot to be thankful. So, we are planning to enjoy our meals with gusto. Since every good meal should include a good cocktail we’ve got cocktails ideas ready.

Thanks Giving in a Cup
1oz Appleton Estate Reserve
1oz Appleton Estate 12 Year Old
75oz Ferretti Liquor
1 Heaping bar spoon of pumpkin pie mix
½ oz heavy cream
1 whole egg

Preparation: Place all ingredients into a mixing glass. Dry Shake (shake without ice so as to whip the ingredients together). Then shake again with ice. Strain into an empty rocks glass and top with freshly grated cinnamon.

Basil Hayden’s® Autumn Harvest (Charles Joly, Chicago, IL)
Ingredients:
2 Parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
¾ parts Heering® Cherry Liquor
1 dash Fee Brothers® Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters
2 parts Milk Stout Beer
Fresh Nutmeg

Preparation: Combine Basil Hayden’s®, cherry liquor and bitters in a mixing glass. Add ice and shake. Roll in the milk stout beer. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and cherry on top.

Pumpkin Toddy
1 oz. Mt Gay Extra Old
1 oz. Cointreau
.50 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 barspoon Pumpkin Butter
Fill with 4-5 oz. hot water
Build in a hot glass and stir. Garnish with fresh grated cinnamon.

The Turkey’s Feathers
1.5 oz. Vikingfjord Chocolate Raspberry
2 Blackberries Muddled
Barspoon of agave
.5oz Lime Juice
.5oz Lemon Juice

Preparation: In a mixing glass muddle the blackberries, add the agave, lime juice, lemon juice, and Choco/Rasp. Shake and strain into a highball. Top with a little club soda. Garnish with 2 blackberries.

The Eastern Dramble
2 parts BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® East Gin
3/4 part Lemon Juice
1/4 part All Spice Dram Liqueur
1/2 part Pressed Apple Juice

Preparation: Shake and serve frappe. Drizzle 1/2 part Chambord/Creme de Mure over the top. Garnish with 2 blackberries and an apple slice.

The Great Pumpkin Cocktail
Served at Mulberry Project & The Vinatta Project (both in NYC)
4oz Hot Apple Cider
2oz Spiced Rum
2 tbsp Pumpkin Puree*
1 tbsp of Butter
2 tsp Raw Sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/2 tsp Whole Cloves
1/4 tsp Grated Nutmeg
1 pinch Sea Salt
Garnish with Cinnamon Quill. Enjoy while hot.

Preparation: To make Pumpkin Puree whisk pumpkin puree, butter, sugar and spices into a batter in a warm bowl. Add batter to a large mug. Top with Spiced Rum, Dram and Hot Cider and stir the mixture in the mug until drink is a thick and even consistency.

Asian Baked Apple
2 oz TY KU Citrus Liqueur
1.5 oz Apple Juice
1 oz Cranbery Juice

Preparation: combine ingredients and sprinkle a dash of cinnamon

Cali Mayflower
2 oz Caliche Rum
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1 tbsp of Cranberry Jam. (1 oz if using cranberry sauce)
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Cranberries for garnish

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake until well chilled. Strain
into a rocks filled glass and top with the bitters. Add cranberries for garnish

(BELVEDERE)RED Puritan

1.5 oz z (BELVEDERE)RED
½ oz St Germain Elderflower liqueur
3 bar spoons of pomegranate seeds
4 chunks pink grapefruit
Preparation: Muddle pomegranate seeds and grapefruit with the elderflower liqueur. Add Belvedere and top with crushed ice. Churn.

(BELVEDERE)RED Home Sweet Home Martini

1.5 oz (BELVEDERE)RED
2 chunks fresh watermelon
Dash jasmine simple syrup
Preparation: Muddle, shake and double strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an edible flower
