Audubon NY Young Members Empower Fashion and Beauty Industries in Conservation
Audubon NY held it’s Young Members Fall Benefit earlier this week, inviting supporters to join in on a cocktail hour complete with pizza hors d’oeuvres and the fantastic DJ Luther Riggs – who was gutsy enough to play Guns N Roses, Markey Mark and the Funky Bunch, and Journey all in one evening! We were impressed. Harvest Apple Spritz martinis circulated, featuring American Harvest Organic Vodka.
Working to empower a new generation of conservationists from the fashion, beauty, finance and creative industries to raise awareness about current environmental issues, this event served to further the organization’s mission by helping to fund opportunities to experience and foster a love for nature, building a community of like-minded and committed environmentalists.
100% of funds raised at the 2013 Fall Benefit go toward Audubon New York’s important conservation, education, policy and advocacy work that aims to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
Modely types and excited guests dressed in elegant cocktail attire buzzed around a fun filled photo booth, complete with bird puppets, to strike funny poses in front of the camera as aviary enthusiasts – we cannot deny that we were absolutely thrilled to join in on the silly antics.
The event largely focused on an exciting silent auction consisting of various fashion, beauty and nightlife items such as paintings, wine baskets, and even an Essy gift set! Swoon!
