Hot! Gallery Five Simple Ways to Help Hurricane Sandy Survivors

I don’t have to tell you how badly #Sandy has affected us. Many of my friends are without power. While others are running low on water and food. All of this compounded by the that our public transportation buckled under the wrath of Sandy.

If you are like me and are spurred to help those affected badly Sandy but don’t know what to do. Here are some simple things you can do TODAY. You don’t need lots of money or lots of time to help.

Donate: Either money, food, and much needed supplies such as clothes, and toiletries.

To donate RIGHT NOW: text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

If you are able to donate blood. Please do so. Centers are in desperate need of blood to help those affected.

The elderly, pregnant and families with young children need your help. And, some of them might without power. So, if you are able offer to buy groceries. Bring water and food.

If you have power offer to charge devices to those without power. While you are at it-- ask whether a warm bath might of interest. Trust me someone will say yes.
