Blake Lively Celebrates Chanel’s 1932 “Bijoux de Diamants”
The Chanel press machine is in overdrive, at least that’s what it seems. In the last few days, we’ve got a sneak peek at Brad Pitt campaign for the iconic No. 5 fragrance; saw the debut of a new website chronicling Chanel’s No.5 fragrance history; and this past Tuesday, the French fashion house gathered some of fashion biggest names for a fête celebrating the 80th anniversary of the original 1932 “Bijoux de Diamants” collection.
Jet setters, Rose Byrne, Jen Brill, Giovanna Battaglia, Linda Evangelista, Blake Lively, Alexa Chung, , Diane Kruger, Leigh Lezark, January Jones, Harley Viera-Newton and Lindsey Wixson were on hand at the swanky (there was a custom made Dome – you know because Chanel does it right) exhibition featuring 80 new High-Jewelry pieces. The new pieces inspired by motifs and symbols that colored Mademoiselle Chanel’s imagination include an array of white, yellow and black diamonds, blue and pink sapphires and pearls.
In addition to fab exhibit guests were treated to a dinner wiped up Chef Michael White and a special performance from XX.
