Hot! Gallery Surviving #NYFW: See Our Editrix Picks

Lorna Survive Fashion Week

As Fashion Week has continued on to take London and Milan by storm, we here at TFR are finding that our go-to lifesavers while on-the-go during New York Fashion Week have remained securely in our bags – mainly because they got us through the week in style, and we can’t imagine being anywhere without them on hand again! In the last few days, you saw what kept our Associate Editor sane. Now, see the products that helped our Editrix, Lorna Solano, survive fashion week.

Transitioning between day and night events was a way of life for me. And I often did it why my favorite lipstick-- Napoleon Perdis' Hara .

I kept track of time (so, I wouldn't miss my appointments) with my trusty Baume & Mercier Linea Watch. I would have been hopelessly late without it.

The lack of sleep, the busy days, and the poor diet left my skin stress, dehydrated and dry. Jurlique Balancing Day Cream was my skin savior. It instantly hydrated my skin and gave me a healthy glow even though I was tired.

Dehydration, in addition to constant hunger pains, is par of the course during fashion week. I mean, there are late night parties and early mornings. For me, Smartwater helped me stay properly hydrated.

Running around between previews, backstage coverage, and events, leaves little time for eating. So, snacking during breaks is the only way to keep from starving. I was lucky to receive a few snack from Atkins (I didn't even know they offered them) right around fashion week. I was able to snack on milkshakes and bars.

Samsung, in addition to serving as one of the sponsors of the Mercedes-Benz fashion week, also provided editors with a working station with wi-fi ready devices, fresh battery swap, and most importantly (at least for me) offered editors the Galaxy S4. The device was perfect for my busy schedule and the demands of social media. The camera is great. As a result I didn't need to bring an additional camera to snap images backstage . It also had a fairly long battery life so I could tweet, instagram, and check email without really having to worry about a dying battery. It also helped that I knew I could just get a freshly charged battery at the tents.
