NYFW: Korto Momolu Spring 2015 Beauty Report
Korto Momolu Spring/Summer 2015 collection was filled with metallic and pops of color incorporating her inspiration of rebirth and evolving as a woman. Using all SheaMoisture products for hair and makeup, you can see the “pop of color” made easy for everyone to achieve.
Stacy Ciceron, lead hairstylist, connected with Korto’s inspiration story and wanted to “recreate and make it easier for people to do.” Using SheaMoisture’s Frizz-Free Curl Mousse, apply a pea size amount to hair for perfect texture. Then apply Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk for silky texture and shine. Using large sized bobby pins, wrap hair around and secure in sections. Ciceron also told us, “Depending on the model’s natural hair, since we have multi-cultural models, we will use a flat iron to bring out the texture of the wave more.” After hair has been secure for about twenty minutes, Stacy and her team separated the tight curls with SheaMoisture’s Smooth & Repair High Shine Glosser for shine and definition.
Renny Vasquez, lead makeup artist played with the pop of color theme. The models were bronzed beauties with a bright and fresh pink lip. Vasquez used SheaMoisture’s Wet/Dry Pressed Powder over a creamy foundation to smooth out any lines. Then he used SheaMoisture’s Color Correcting, Contouring & Highlighting Palette, to define and sculpt the nose and cheekbones. To finished the face, Vasquez used the Mineral Blush in Annecy Maroon on the cheeks for a warm glow. The SheaMoisture Wet/Dry Eye Shadow was the star of this entire look. Using the shade Claudia, he applied to the brows. This helped to define and fill color. Then to create a base tthey applied the Celia shade over the eye and brow bone. Finally, they applied Montana, on the lid and blend to the corner of the eye. The look was completed with SheaMoisture’s Liquid Eyeliner and Lengthening Mascara in black. On the lips the team used SheaMoisture’s Sarah and lip-gloss in Jenny.
This was such a pretty look that we had ask Vasquez what his favorite product from the look runway. Vasquez said, “Definitely the Wet/Dry Pressed Powder! It’s a miracle, three in one type of product. You can wear it alone, over your favorite foundation or just for concealing spots. It’s very moisturizing and nourishing as well so you can’t go wrong!”
