#NYFW: HONOR Spring 2015 Beauty Report
For Spring 2015, HONOR Mixed with psychedelic sixties prints and eclectic colors. The inspiration the team explained was “Debutante falls in love with a George Harrison bad boy and they go on a “trip” together. She finally realizes he’s a bad person, untangles herself from him and comes out stronger.” Honor took this inspiration and created an unforgettable, and quite frankly one of our favorite beauty looks this season.
Hair: James Pecis, lead hair stylist for Beauty.com used PHYTO and T3 Tools to create “Coming of age uptown girl goes downtown”, a natural lived in messy ponytail. “With the rest of the beauty looks such as the eye makeup and nails being the focus, we just wanted a simple, fresh out of bed, not a care in the world low pony. Simple but fashionable.” said Pecis. To create look James prepped the hair with PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray. He then dried the hair using T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i and then parted the hair in the center allowing some front pieces to hang loose. To create texture and grab the ponytail, the team used a touch of PHYTO Professional Matte Texturizing Paste. And used PHYTO Professional Workable Holding Spray through the ends to achieve a natural, lived-in texture Skin: Skin experts used vbeauté’s It Kit to manage and prep the skin. This five-step kit includes a day and night moisturizer, exfoliator, a serum and under eye cream that contains great anti-aging benefits.
Makeup: Polly Osmond for Beauty.com used Kevin Aucoin Cosmetics and created a twisted lapis cat eye that stunned with a blink. Osmond said, “The eye is the main focus. With every blink, there is a flash of “wow” so we kept it very simple everywhere else.” To create the look the main focus is Blend the Kevyn Aucoin The Loose Shimmer Shadow in Lapis with the Kevyn Aucoin Eye Pencil Primatif in Basic White and then mix with Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Pencil Primatif in Defining Navy to achieve the neon blue eye color. Create a cat eye shape, use a Q-tip to perfect.
Nails: Nonie Crème for Beauty.com always delivers and shuts it down when it comes to nail art. This high contrast cobalt blue design was made with psychedelic polka dots in a star pattern that stood out with the rest of the collection. The look consisted of a custom shaded created Nonie Creme for Beauty.com. To create the look use 3d pearls in a star pattern to faux nails from Beauty.com. Use tweezers and a pick to perfectly place each pearl.
