Kaelen Spring 2012
While Kaelen clothes are not in line with my personal style, I do appreciate her design aesthetic. The budding designer creates clothes for a sophisticated rocker chick who while mature still wants to show her spunk. Kaelen’s spring 2012 collection, which is meant to be “a little Stevie in the woods in the ’70s,” emphasizes an acute understanding of her customer.
This collection is stylish, romantic, and featured edgy clothes that will have her costumer coming back for more. The silhouettes are flowing with a rich selection of fabrics including lace and handmade macramé from Bolivia. The collection features a strong selection of long dresses, some with fray edges while the others are sheer with really interesting accents. There’s also an uber cute selection of slouchy pants and tops which are rather stunning. The colors are very angelic and include a mixture of whites, pastels and with some bold prints sprinkled into the selection.
