The Fashionable Set Celebrate Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s and 111 year anniversary
Oh how many times have we heard “scatter my ashes at Bergdorf’s”? Okay, truthfully not often, but giving Bergdorf Goodman’s 111 year anniversary and unparalleled shopping we are fairly certain the sentiment is felt by many. So, it’s hardly surprising the recent soirée celebrating the store anniversary drew big names.
Earlier this week, the luxury retailer, hosted a VIP advance screening for Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s at the Paris Theater sponsored by Cadillac. The special documentary which was directed by Matthew Miele, offers viewers a “window” into the inner workings of the posh shopping destination. The movie features appearances from Karl Lagerfeld, Joan Rivers, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and so many others. The screening was followed by a massive bash at the jewelry and accessories floor of the store; endless caviar, hot male waiters filling empty champagne flutes and the fashionable set chatting about the weeks happening was the theme of the night.
In every turn we spotted a notable name from fashion week which made for an exciting evening. Our not so secret spirit animal, Linda Fargo, roamed the room greeting attendees with a warm smile. Mary Alice Stephenson briefly chatted with Erin Fetherston before dashing off but not before giving us a smile. Jennifer Missoni, shared her fashion week horror story which left us amazed. Michelle Harper, sporting a new hairdo, as expected giving her ball gown sent the photographers into a tizzy. June Ambrose, chatted with us about her busy fashion week. Robert Verdi sported some serious hardware on his spiked shoes.
The evening ended exactly how it should with style. Some images from the evening. Credit: BFA, Neil Rasmus
