Zac Posen Spring 2013 Backstage
Zac Posen backstage was filled with iconic models. We are talking Naomi Campbell, Alex Wek, Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova and other supermodels, so it should come to as no surprise the beauty and hair looks were fairly natural. This way, one would assume, people would not be distracted.
We were particularly impressed by the soft wavy hair created by the John Frieda team. Lead hairstylist, Luigi Murenu of John Frieda, who took inspiration from Posen’s collection and the “romantic culture of the Forties,” created “chic, elegant and timeless,” hair.
To create the look Murenu started with a dime-sized amount of Frizz-Ease® Hair Serum Original Formula ( $5.99). As he applied the product he smoothed the hair downward from the top of the head to below the ear. This simple process keeps the hair crown frizz-free. He then applied Frizz-Ease® Curl Reviver Styling Mousse ($5.99) evenly through hair. The follow this by brushing the hair to uniformly distribute the product. To get that awesome part models had, Murenu created a severe middle part which blow dried completely. To complete the look he brushed the hair back and away from the face this helped the the hair at the crown stay flat and smooth. He finished the look by curling the ends using a 1′ curling iron. Taking small sections he wrapped the hair around the barrel twice but he made sure to stop before reaching the nape of the neck in order to keep the crown flat thus giving the hair that lust worthy soft wave. sh hair out to create one uniform wave. He finished the look by using Frizz-Ease® Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray ($5.99) to keep style in place.
